We discussed this over the phone and went through Employment agreement between SkillPower and yourself. The conditions in the contract are maintained as they are. It already has deductible income taxes as part of the salary. We decided not to cut your base but wanted to comply with existing agreement which, at the end, will lower net income after WHT.
The way it works is those monthly income taxes will be withheld and SkillPower, as employer, will file your withheld personal income tax and provide you the Withholding summary at every month (as slip format below) & year end.
SkillPower’s responsibilities are to support on your tax exemptions eligible per PIT with the Thai Rev. Department, http://www.rd.go.th/publish/6045.0.html , as you have work permit, as well as provide you the Withholding Tax Certificate (section 50 bis of the Rev. Code).
I saw your questions below and here are the explanation for those.
• You are eligible for the PPE. Pls work with Arkom on all PPEs required to perform the job. I will drop him a note to ensure this follows.
• The rental car and accommodation are maintained for you.
• The bonus was not eligible for contractor at this period neither the raise. We have not been out of crisis.
• Social Security, Medical/Life/Accident Insurance are to be provided by SkillPower per your employment agreement.
• Transportation/ home allowances, none of expat who are under local employment is eligible for this.
I will communicate to SkillPower again on the employment contract and want to make sure SkillPower provide you with the insurance policy above.
With the business situation & cycle we’re in, I strongly advise team to be patience. It is not just GE O&G, but industry-wide impact.
