This research also provides implications for determining the most appropriate measures for examining whether child behaviors moderate the relationship between foster caregiver supports and satisfaction and intent to continue fostering.First, it may be helpful to examine whether foster parent supports have a positive impact on the relationship between the caregiver’s perception of child behaviors and their satisfaction as a caregiver. This is highlighted because it may be more practical to help foster parents develop more or stronger support systems than it would be to help them change their view son their child’s behaviors. Second, it may be helpful to use a scale that measures internalizing and externalizing behaviors to determine whether there are specific types of child behaviors that influence foster caregivers most.
