Vitamin C is another important nutrient that is involved in different stressful conditions reported that vitamin C supplementation of infectious bursal disease-challenged chicks improved anti- body response. Similarly, Naseem et al. (2005) observed that dietary supplementation of vitamin C to heat-stressed broi- lers had beneficial effects on feed conversion efficiency and immune functions. To our knowledge, there is no research regarding the effects of supplemental vitamin C and organic Cr in high stocking density condition; the present study, therefore, was designed to investigate the effect of supple- mental levels of these 2 nutrients on performance, egg quality, and antioxidant capacity in laying hens subjected to high stocking density.
