If our engineers could clone themselves, let's be honest, they probably would. Imagine a Justice League armed with the power to fly cameras out in the wild for hours on end while simultaneously hammering away at software updates back at Lily HQ. It would be a game changer. Not to mention a pretty solid movie premise.
Until we get the cloning thing down, we've assembled an extraordinary group of field testers. In the past week and a half alone, they've logged 219 flights. It's an incredibly diverse crew, ranging from recent college graduates to individuals with years of experience in a different profession looking to embark on an entirely new career in robotics.
Right now it's a tight knit crew of 11. That number will double next week, along with flight hours. The current squad holds a vast array of expertise, including but not limited to: visual effects, artificial intelligence, industrial design, journalism, photography -- we've even got a Golden State Warriors + SF 49ers drumline performer in tow.
How do these seemingly far flung skill sets push the Lily testing program forward? Simple. Perspective. We're not just building a product for people who are already passionate about flying cameras. We're building a product for people who want to expand the scope of their world and create in uncharted territory.
