We made it to the last week! And what a crazy week it will be! Apologies in advance if you see Ms. Nele and I running around with frazzled looks on our faces! It’s been that kind of month!
PYP Visit: We are very happy to be hosting Maike and Emma, from the IB PYP, on Monday and Tuesday. They’ll be wandering around school, visiting classes, talking to kids, parents and teachers all about the PYP and how we “make it happen.” This is my second accreditation visit, and they are wonderful experiences for students and staff. Hopefully this visit will end with an accreditation! Personally, I think we have it “in the bag.” :c)
Learning Journey: Finally! We’ve made it! The LJ’s are really coming together and looking fabulous. Kids are starting to bring in their artifacts/models and we are blown away! That complete with (optional) costumes will make this hallway look “ancient” in a good way! We look forward to seeing you on Thursday afternoon, any time between 1:30-2:30pm.
Songkran Festivities: A schedule of events should have been sent to you already. Students are encouraged to wear bright colours that day! For Year 3, we have our water blessing and dance taking place at 10:00am on the hardcourt. We will be visiting again at 11am to the cultural activities. After lunch at 1:20-2:00, we will be taking part in the water games! I am very excited to experience my first Songkran at St. Andrews! Feel free to join us, but watch out for flying wet sponges and water balloons!
Holidays: I’m sure you haven’t forgotten, but this is a reminder that we have two weeks of holidays after this week! We’ll return to school on April 20th. Have a safe and happy vacation! We’ll also have a new student, “Joe,” joining us when we return!
Student Led Conference Feedback: If you would like a feedback form (a quick survey) to fill out regarding last week’s SLC, please let me or your child know and I’ll put a form in their folder. You can return it to me or Mrs. Frew.
