From
other packaging materials several micrograms per gram of oils
could be transferred. Printing inks used to cardboard boxes often
include also mineral oils as solvents (range of contamination 10–
100 lg g1). Other examples concern contamination of eggs and
meat as a result of using edible oils and fats in the animal feeding.
For that kind of nourishment it is possible to find mineral oils
which are added as binder for minerals and vitamins. Also fish is
contaminated with mineral oils, although the source of this contamination
has not been found out yet (Fiorini et al., 2008).
