The capability of the process is used to produce acceptable products or processes. Process-capability studies have large impact on many managementdecision problems that occur over the product cycle, including decisions and process improvements that reduce process variability. In order to studythe quality of fertigation in grapes, a field experiment with drip irrigation system was conducted in a farm in the state of Parana, Brazil. The experiment was factorial 2 × 4, with two fertilizer concentrations, 200 and 400 mg L
of NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) and four head pressures, 150, 200, 250 and 300 kPa. Analysis of variance was performed for the coefficients CUC (Christiansen’s uniformity coefficient) and CVt (coefficient of total variation). The PC (process capability index) was calculated for all combinations of head pressure with fertilizer concentration. The head Elephant foot yam is gaining popularity as a commercial or cash crop in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Tripura. Its area is expanding in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra. However, lack of scientific studies on fertigation hinders its further expansion in the nontraditional and water scarce areas. Judicious and optimal use of water and fertilizers are prerequisites to maximize the productivity and return. Hence, field experiments were carried out at Department of Vegetable Crops, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during 2010-2013 through AICRP on Tuber Crops to standardize drip with fertigation technology for elephant The study aimed to evaluate the performance of drip irrigation systems with clean water application and cassava wastewater processing, by determining the distribution uniformity coefficient (CUD) and the process capability index (Cpl). The research was carried out in an agroindustrial area from western Paraná State, Brazil, where two irrigation systems were set and operated in different periods. After the essays implementation, the two irrigation systems were identified and stored in order to be retested after one year (2nd year of collection). So, the same conditions that were established in the first year had still been considered. Treatments with effluent showed flow averages near to those ones obtained with the use of clean water. Only in the T4 treatment, CUD was classified as good, while the others were excellent. The process was rated as efficient only in T1 with 80% LCL, with a 2.04 Cpl. Thus, based on this technique, it was possible to check that the system is able to keep suitable levels of uniformity.
