The instructions supported are grouped into discrete opcode collections, called opcode planes. The 15 most common instructions are gathered to form the Basic Opcode Plane (Bplane), shown in Table 2. These are sucient for an introductory course in computer architecture. (Note that the last operation in the Bplane (opcode 0xF) is only required to support additional opcode planes. It need not be used in introductory computer architecture courses.)
