The not plants had higher SOD activity than AC plants, but lower
APX and CAT activities than AC plants under water stress (Fig. 5).
The SOD and APX activities increased gradually during the first 2
days, and then reduced at the 3rd day after water cessation. The CAT
activity sharply increased at the 1st day, and then decreased during
the next 2 days after water cessation. In general, the activities of
SOD, APX, and CAT significantly increased and their activities in
both not and AC plants treated by EBR were significantly higher
than those of the controls after water cessation.
