Cosmetics that have held an important place in human life since
the beginning of time are products that are not required to be sterile
microbiologically but have to be of proper quality in terms of consumer
health (Steinberg, 2006). It has been determined that these
products can be contaminated with microorganisms found in the
production environment or in raw materials, especially water, and
that the contamination can occur after production due to unhealthy
storage conditions or during consumer use (Underwood, 1998).
