To our knowledge, we are the first to report the results of detailed shoulder strength and motion analyses, as well as patient-oriented outcomes, after midshaft clavicle fractures in an exclusively adolescent population. We found a 100% healing rate with minimal to no residual disability as measured with the QuickDash, SANE, and Constant scores. With regard to range of motion and strength, only maximal external rotation strength and abduction endurance strength showed significant reductions compared with the uninjured side. While strength deficits were observed, they did not appear to affect patient
