We developed an index of Facebook
use (IFU) whose items (21) mainly derived from the communication strategies proposed by Waters, Burnett, Lamm, and Lucas
(2009). Accordingly, the IFU general index is divided into three partial indexes incorporating three strategies: disclosure (7
items), dissemination (8 items) and involvement (6 items). The Kolmogorov–Smirnov test was applied to identify statistically
significant differences between the Colombian and TopNPOsFb.
