Thanks for the update Pao.
I did receive a text from Juntana late yesterday that she will not be able to take up the role due to medical / personal reason. In light of what you had shared, such communication did not carry any significance.
Further, I am not aware if engaging a consultant implies that we have the leverage to forego our regular processes (unless an exception was specifically approved by appropriate authority). If there was an approval or instruction to do so, please advise.
We have been very lucky to have capable people working for Valvoline in Thailand. At same time, it is also a fact that challenges with people, capabilities and attrition also exist. As Thailand business is on growth path, talent management & retention; clear polices and correct practices gain further significance.
As HR lead of Thailand and having the privilege of access and guidance of khun Permsak and JK, in my opinion you should have led the coordination for this search right from the beginning. Amrita has a wider perspective of how Valvoline and Ashland function regionally and globally and she can always guide you and assist you as needed.
I see the current situation as an opportunity for you to engage Stellar to lead the search. As suggested, let us keep this initiative time bound. Suggest that we line up the candidates within July and conclude the hiring of the position by Aug'15. Does that sound fair to you.
Should you need assistance, please reach out to Amrita.
