The Tractor
Modern large agricultural implements are usually powered by "diesel- or gasoline-fueled internal combustion engines
The most important implement of modern agriculture is the tractor.
It provides locomotion for many other implements and can provide power (via its power or pto-shaft) for the operation of machines drawn behind the tractor in the field.
The pto shafts of tractors may also be used to power such equipment as water pumps, corn shellers, or 'electric-power generators.
