This study aimed to investigate the pathogenicity of Colletotrichum falcatum isolated from midrib of sugarcane. Identification of Colletotrichum falcatum, the causal agent of midrib red rot of sugarcane and morphological character of conidia were determined using microscopy. The results showed that Colletotrichum falcatum produced conidia hyaline, one celled, falcated shaped. The conidia ranged between 20.0 and 37.5 µm in length by 7.5 and 10.0 µm in width. Pathogenic of Colletotrichum falcatum was studied on sugarcane by detached leaf technique. The results revealed that Colletotrichum falcatum could infect both the upper and lower midrib of the leaf. The midrib red rot developed on all the post of midrib in which the base of the midrib was more severe than the tip. The age of leaf had no allected on the size of the midrib lesions
