PEOPLE wanting to buy a car might have to prove they have enough parking space before the vehicle can be registered. Assistant Police Director-General Pol Gen Chamlong lamchangphan said recently.
This would discourage car owners from parking their vehicles on the street.
For undisciplined or reckless drivers who violate traffic regulations, police
may have to once again start suspending their licences for one month.
If drivers are found guilty of repeated traffic violations, their licences will
be withdrawn, he said.
Pol Gen Chamlong, who is responsible for traffic in Bangkok, claimed the
traffic flow in the city has improved.
He said the “improvement” was due to the installation of new traffic lights,
better coordination in traffic management among various police units and the improved discipline of motorists.
