Submission Requirements
By 21 December 2015, Entrants must tender all submissions in electronic format online via the Competition website OR submit in soft copy in CD or thumb drive* sent to the nearest BCI office.
If you are submitting by soft copy in CD or thumb drive, please attention package to FuturArc Green Leadership Award Registrar clearly on the envelope.
*Proof of postage is not proof of receipt. No correspondence will be entertained for any damage, loss or late submissions. All expenses incurred in the submission of entries (including carrier and postage) are to be borne by the Entrants.
Submission Materials
Each submission must consist of the following 4 components:
1) Panels
2) Report
3) Photographs
4) Declarations
Under no circumstances will the Jury consider additional materials.
1) Presentation Panels
Up to 4 A1 boards (84cm x 59.4cm) in landscape format with site plan, floor plans, elevations, cross sections, detail drawings, schematics, diagrams and photographs necessary for visualising and understanding the project
The panels must be submitted as PDF or JPEG electronic files.
The panel must be clearly labelled with the Entrant’s ID and the competition category (for instance, ‘Residential – Individual Houses’).
All images featured on the panels must be in RGB mode with a resolution of 72 DPI.
Maximum file size of each panel is 2500 KB.
Note: Entrants are required to keep (but not submit) the high-resolution file of 300 PPI. The Competition Registrar will advise entrants on if and when these are needed for publication.
2) Report
The report must clearly state the Entrant's ID and the Competition Category.
The report shall consist of no more than 10 A4 pages must be submitted; this is inclusive of diagrams and double spaced text (Times Roman, font size 12).
The report will describe the underlying process, targets and outcomes. Credit will be given to projects that are able to discuss performance in use, as distinct from predictions/prescriptions at the drawing board.
The report must be submitted as a JPG or PDF electronic file. Maximum size of the file is 2500KB.
3) Photographs
At least 8 photographs of the completed project are to be uploaded.
Size and resolution of these images should be at least A4, 300 DPI. Maximum size of each image is 2500KB.
4) Declarations
Each submission must be accompanied by signed consent from owner/client and copyright licensing. Entrants are to download the following files, enter project details, get the relevant signatures and scan/save as PDFs or JPEGs, which are to be uploaded at time of submission.
a. FORM I: Consent from Owner/Client
b. FORM II: Copyright license
c. FORM III: Declarations
d. FORM IV: Project Team & Details
Interview
Entrants may be asked to present themselves via Skype for an interview on the days of the jury meeting, to be confirmed later. This is subject to the needs of the judging process.
Video
Entrants are encouraged to submit audio-visual materials that will help the jury understand the project. These should be short video clips, no more than 5 minutes in length
Access
Entrants may be called upon to facilitate physical access to the project for the jury
