Human Process Interventions
This chapter discuss relating to interpersonal relations, group dynamic, and organization-level processes. These change programs include some of the earliest interventions in Organization Development (OD) as well as some of the newest. All of them attempt to improve people’s working relationships with one another. Four key human process interventions are presented in this chapter : process consultation, team building, conflict resolution, and large-group interventions. Team building is aimed both at helping a team perform its tasks better and at satisfying in needs. Conflict resolution assists organizational members in resolving interpersonal as well as intergroup conflicts. Large-group interventions allow a variety of stake-holders to come together to develop new ways of looking at problem, to articulate a new vision for the organization, to solve cross-functional problems, or to devise a new organizational strategy.
