TLR mRNA and B Cell-Related Gene
Expression in the Foregut of Chicks
Changes in the mRNA expression of TLR in the foregut
are shown in Figure 1. Dietary inclusion of probiotics
increased (P < 0.05) the expression of TLR2 mRNA
at 21 and 42 d, and TLR4 mRNA level at 21 d compared
with the NC or PC group, but had no significant
effect on TLR7 mRNA level in the small intestine of
broilers. However, there was no significant difference
in TLR2, TLR4, and TLR7 mRNA expression between
NC and PC groups. The TLR4 mRNA level at 21 d and
TLR2 mRNA level at 42 d were increased (P < 0.05) in
the intestine of broilers in the 0.2% probiotic treatment
compared with the 0.1% probiotic group, although
there was no significant difference between them.
Changes in mRNA expression levels of Bu-1 in the
foregut of chicks are shown in Figure 2. At 21 and 42 d,
there was no significant difference in the Bu-1 mRNA
expression in the foregut of the chicks among different
dietary treatments.
