The obtained results indicated that the effects of both Quince and o were equal in removing the symptoms among children <60 months old. As measured by GSQ-1 and GSQ-Yo, decline of symptoms were statistically significant in both treatment groups compared with baseline. In the Quince group. css gradually decreased. even after the secession of the treatment, but in the omeprazole group, it became steady (Fig 2). In these children, refuse to eat/refusal to be feed was the most frequent and sever symptom which significantly decreased by drugs, As shown in (Table 3) Quince syrup was still effective for two weeks after the drug usage. This result might be due to LES and gastric tonic effects of Quince which was mentioned as a treatment for emesis in literature l44]. Quince seems to be more effective than omeprazole in treatment of abdominal or belly pain/arching back symptoms statistically there were no differences between the treatment groups (Table 3). In Quince group we saw more improvement in CSS" in compare to omeprazole group that CSS showed no signifi cant change after the treatment (Fig. 2) The presences of GERD symptoms were different in children aged 260 months old. Although the effect of Quince syrup was equal to omeprazole, but the recurrence of those symptoms was much slower in the Quince group (Fig. 4) In these children, burping/belching was the most sever and frequent symptom which significantly responded to both drugs but the Quince's effect seems to be better and more lasting than omeprazole (Table 5)
