Workers trained in proper use of and hazards related to ladders
Total length of ladder should be 9 m. or less.
Keep ladders in good condition without being worn out, deteriorated or damaged.
Ladders should not be placed in front of a door that is not locked, blocked or guarded or attended by worker.
The legs are anti-slipped and in good condition. Apply rubber stoppers to the bottom.
Do not place ladders on uneven, inclined ground. Use it in thestable condition.
Place ladders at the proper angles ,Should be around 75 degrees.
Set the ladder in a way that its top protrudes over the wall.
Take preventative measures against moving the position at the upper and lower locations in order to secure ladders to prevent slipping
Assign a person to hold the ladder at the bottom when it is tied up to a beam.
While climbing up/down, employee should not hold any materials in hands.
A good general guide is to keep your body centred between the ladder rails and Climb up/down a ladder one by one.
No standing on top or top step of stepladder , No standing on top 3 rungs of straight or extension ladder
On the ladder, avoid dangerous work that requires: bendingforward while sitting on the ladder, strong force, leaningover the ladder.
Ladders must have nonconductive types if they are used where the worker or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical circuits.
