2.3 Climatic data
The average monthly temperatures and relative
humidity at both study sites were recorded by digital thermohygrometer,
while the precipitation data were provided by
the Meteorological Department at Hat Yai International
Airport (it is nearer study site) station (Table 1). The wet and
dry seasons of sampling months were based on precipitation
as defined by Whitmore (1990), i.e., rainfall >100 mm was
