Before I moved over here, I believed all of the classic British stereotypes; y’know, bad teeth, bad jokes, top hats, all that sorta thing. To be honest, I’ve learnt that most of them aren’t true but there is one that definitely is; you guys love queueing!
Maybe it’s cos y’all are majorly polite (even rude Brits are more polite than some of the folks I know) but wherever there’s a lot of people waiting for one thing, you guys are forming a queue. And the rules surrounding a queue; jeez, it’s like some kind of ancient order or something! I once cut in by mistake and I honestly thought I was gonna get sacrificed at the altar of the Queen like in that movie ‘Apocalypto’. So well done guys – you’re totally the champions of queueing!
Well, that was pretty difficult but I’m glad I got it out of my system; now I can go back to listening to ‘Star Spangled Banner’ and watching ‘Rocky IV’ on repeat. I’m sure you folks can think of like a hundred and fifty billion more things you guys are better than us Americans (not all of them correct but whatever) so if you wanna share them with me y’all know what to do – tweet me @AStoneHCO, add me on Facebook or leave a comment.
Oh, and make sure to keep an eye on the site this Friday. Instead of my usual witty and urbane blog post I’ve got something a little bit more special for y’all…
