Today we will visit Doll making and museum, which has been producing high quality and exceptionally beautiful dolls for over half a century. The Doll Making Centre specializes in dolls of Hill tribe people, both individual and in sets and many of these dolls can be seen in the museum.
Enjoy driving around the easy and charming rural life, the villagers still preserve old style teak houses and participate with the local family and learn how to make a handmade paper. (This is not where most tourist go)
Wiang Tha Kan is an ancient city of Hariphunchai period, dating back to around the 10th century, before the rise of King Mengrai. During excavations of this site, sandstone and earthen Buddha images including earthen amulets, brown jars with bones and Chinese porcelain from the Yuan Dynasty (1280-1368) were found in the area of Tha Kan village.
The wood carving village or Keao La Noi village, or Kad Sla, where members of hundres families are carving wood, such as elephant and others small objects.
