Data in Table2 correspond to laboratory analyses carried out in
the Bromatologic Laboratory of the National University of
Colombia, Medellín Campus.The humidity and dry material tests
were conducted by thermogravimetry after drying at 105 C (ISO-
6496).The cellulose,hemicellulose,and lignin content were
analyzed according to the methods AOAC 973.18,and AOAC 2002.4.
Starch was obtained from a polarimetry test,sugar following the
ICONTEC NTC 542 standard,the calorific value following the ASTM
standard D3286-96 and the chemical composition by the ASTM
standard D2650-99.
