I am not aware of this checksum actually being used anywhere, but I am not certain. It is not used in DMAN as we do not use OCR. However, I know it’s a mark that we add specifically to the wafers and have done so for many years. Going forward, we may be able to remove it, but I need to check with all assembly centres first.
