Ideally located, popular with foreigners, the Hotel has a warm ambience.
PRO’S
- Staff is very helpful and courteous. My bag was taken to the room
- Bathroom is neat and clean. Shampoo and conditioner dispenses are in the shower – what a great idea!
- A/C was good
- Room view – I like the mountains in the background
- Wi-Fi strength was excellent ( I was on Level 5 - top floor)
- Nice to see a bible in the room even though it’s in Thai
- Location is ideal. Burger King is next door on the left and to the left of that is the Coffee Club. Rachadamnoen Road is closed around 4pm each Sunday for the Sunday Walking Street Market (See photo).
- Good eating places within walking distance are Morradoke Thai, John’s Place, Dada Kafe, The Olive Tree, Kafe Bar and Restaurant
- 7 Eleven, massage parlours, chemist with English speaking staff are nearby on Moonmuang Road
- Laundry; Hotel laundry is expensive. The cheapest option is the first house to the right of the hotel (look for sign) offers 130THB for 3kg washed and folded or there is a Coin Laundry on Chaiyaphoom Road by the Amora Hotel
CON’S
- First Impressions of the room – a little rundown. Some Furnishings are getting old.
- Standard room is oddly designed; could have made much better use of space i.e. a bigger bathroom (it’s narrow & pokey) and definitely more cupboard space. It’s odd because the space is there to do it!
- No access to balcony
- Complimentary Breakfast is not included with any room (level 2, Brixy Cafe)
- Moonmuang and Rachadamnoen Road can be very busy to cross
Overall I enjoyed my stay here and in the area and would stay again.
Room Tip: When you’re booking online choose a room at the back of the Hotel away from the noise on Moonmuang R...
