Each entry includes the following information, when available: marriage date, marriage certificate number, zip xode, number of children, date of divorce, husband's last name, husband's first name, husband's middle name or suffix, husband's birth date, wife's last name, wife's first name, wife's middle name or suffix, and wife's birth date.
Although divorces are much more common in today’s society, they have been around for hundreds of years. Divorce indexes can be used to add context to the lives of our ancestors. At a minimum, divorce records can include the full names of both parties and the date of the divorce.
