Today, reliable and reasonably priced software is available
for the study of dynamic behavior of electric energy systems;
this suggests a comparison between the results of calculations
in accordance with the IEC draft and those obtained by a
dynamic simulation using the Alternative Transient Program
(ATP) [11], a personal computer version of the well-known
