Each of the five Wisdom Buddhas is essentially an “antidote” (cure) for one aspect of our own wrong thinking (cause of karma).
There are five categories of wrong thinking that generate bad karma and therefore keep us in samsara. These five kinds of wrong thinking are known as “the five poisons.” They are:
(1) desire
(2) anger
(3) delusion
(4) pride
(5) envy
