Please let me step in to explain a little bit better MEI policy on reparation. Basically MEI agrees to repair any part in the MEI machines which can be repaired. This is to save the Customers the purchase of a new item and save them some money when possible.
When the parts can be repaired by the Customer himself we sell the requested spare parts out and also the photos with a complete procedure (photos of each step) to replace/fix them.
In the case of the head-group and other parts it is impossible for the Customer to have the required tools/knowledge/spare to perform the reparation as it is supposed to be done, with the correct mechanical alignment
The reason why we do not sell the belt You require is that by only changing the belt You will soon face permanent damage to the head-group which we might not be able to repair ourselves in the future if not with a very costly reparation. You shouldn’t ever replace that belt alone as its current status is the consequence of misalignment and worn out mechanical components inside the head-group.
If You wanna repair this part kindly ship it back to us, we can quote You the reparation and proceed only when You give us the consensus
Inspection fee in case You do not want to proceed with the reparation is 110 Euro.
