In the traditional pipeline, modeling and rigging are separate procedures, so the model must be re-rigged every time the shape changes (i.e. after each modeling operation). RigMesh unifies modeling and rigging; the model is always rigged, and the artist can pose freely, allowing for iterative modeling, deformation, and key-frame animation with real-time response.
