You conclusions should be linked back to your research objective after all they describe what you set out to do so your findings should be directly associated with those objectives it is important that your reader is not given any surprises in this chapter you have already put forward your findings what you are doing here is spelling them out very clearly but making sure you don’t introduce any new information there should be no leaps of faith in this chapter only conclusions which are based firmly in your findings should be presented to your reader it can be very tempting to allow your opinions to creep in at this point after all you care an awful lot about this topic and you have spent considerable time and energy asking this question you are bound to be passionate about the answer but don’t let that influence how you present your conclusions everything you say here must have emerged clearly from you analysis and be drawn from your evidence any attempt to slip in person bias at this stage will weaken your research
