A growing body of research has focused on the potential application of
nematode-trapping fungi, a diverse group of nematophagous
fungi characterized by their ability to form
intriguingly elaborate mycelial structures (traps) such as
adhesive knobs, adhesive nets, non-constricting rings, and
constricting rings (Nordbring-Hertz et al. 2011; Yang et al.
2011a).
