Abstract
The system uses ultrasonic sensor that periodically emits ultrasonic signals
into an open area in front of it. To cover a wide range, a rotating servomotor is used to
allow the sensor to cover roughly 180 degrees. When an object is coming towards the
motor, this ultrasonic sensor detects the object and estimates the range ie; the distance
at which the object is located. This distance of the object (detected), is given as input
to the Arduino Uno and the distance value is shown in the serial port window.
Arduino initiates the GSM modem, when the status of GSM modem is ready, the
modem sends an SMS to the owner indicating a security breach in the house
