As one of the five key plans, the Energy Efficiency Plan(EEP) been to increase energy efficiency intensity with concrete results and a goal to reduce 30% of consumption intensity by using various forms of energy such as electricity, oil and heat by 2036 as compared to 2000. In this energy efficiency plan, the Ministry of Energy will move ahead with ten measures in the following four business groups: transportation industry, large business buildings and small business buildings or residential homes where the Ministry expects to be able to reduce energy consumption with noticeable results in 56,142 KTOE of the country's ultimate energy consumption The Ministry is also using a combination of measures including mandatory measures and financial support measures, assistance and aid from the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund. Measures for pushing plans into practice are categorized into three strategy groups consisting of enforcement strategies which emphasize the setting of energy consumption standards.
