As an extension to this experiment, the distribution of dynamic, static, and total pressures in Plane 3 downstream of the cylinder may be explored using the pitot-static tube. It will be shown that the dynamic pressure downstream is higher than the upstream values toward the walls and lower towards the center of the working section immediately behind the cylinder. There is also a static pressure gradient from walls to center corresponding to an inward direction of flow of the air behind the cylinder.
