ARTICLE 7 - VARIATIONS
The Main Contractor shall have the right to propose any changes in the scope of the Subcontract Works or to propose that the Subcontractor performs work in addition to the Subcontract Works in which case the Main Contractor shall notify the Subcontractor in writing of its proposed changes or additional work (“a Variation Order”). As soon as practicable after its receipt of such notice from the Main Contractor, the Subcontractor shall promptly prepare a detailed cost estimate for the proposed change/additional work, including the effect such change/additional work may have on the construction schedule. Within the reasonable time after the confirmation of the decision given by the Employer/Engineer, the Main Contractor shall notify the Subcontractor of its decision whether to proceed with the proposed change/additional work. If it is decided to proceed, any adjustment of the Subcontract Price, Time for Completion, or any change in the Subcontract Documents, shall be fixed.
