Lawyers are professional persons who are specially trained in knowledge of the law and the skills to appropriately apply it, "A lawyer, as a member of the legal profession, is a representative of clients, an officer of the legal system and a public citizen having special responsibility for the quality of justice."
Justice is something that needs fighting for. Without it, this world would be a mess. There would be serious trouble in distinguishing the bad from the good, and the fair with the unfair. Laws are in charge of making sure that justice is practiced in certain situations. The absence of a legal system would permit terrible injustices upon the most vulnerable members of society. Having this in mind, we can see why anyone with a sense of justice would want to be a lawyer. Lawyers have the responsibility of protecting the innocent, ensuring that people get equal chances, and defending rights. "Lawyers play a vital role in the preservation of society. The fulfillment of this role requires an understanding by lawyers of their relationship to our legal system. The Rules of Professional Conduct, when properly applied, serve to define that relationship.". The career I have chosen is to become a lawyer, in either a private practice or firm, or for the government. The definition of a lawyer is an advocate or advisor in society, that is as an advocate, to represent one of the opposing parties in a criminal or civil trial, and as an advisor to counsel clients as to their legal rights and suggest courses of action. But that is not all a lawyer is about. Being a lawyer takes hard work, dedication, and many years in school.
