objectives. Key metrics are developed and used as a fact-based management
approach that keep clarity in the project direction and manage the scope of the
project. This includes both standard operational and organizational strategic
metrics, such as Time, Cost, Flexibility and Quality (Raisinghani 2002).
3 Optimising Human Resources
The Human Resource (HR) strategy should ensure that corporate objectives are
aligned with management’s perceptions, while considering possible employee
needs and goals. Though there are limitations, the HR department should be
viewed as a vital organ used to achieve organizational success. The goal of
strategic management is to advise management in existing possible directions
and opportunities.
