You then hold your compass up again and making sure you
haven’t accidently changed the setting, you can look along the
direction of travel to find another obvious feature and walk to
that. You don’t need to hold your compass up when you are
actually walking; in fact it is strongly recommended that you
don’t as it could easily distract you from your target. Concentrate
on the feature you are walking to and on rough terrain
watch where you are putting your feet. You can repeat this
process until you reach the bridge.
