h. Monitoring Activities
1) Control systems and the way controls are applied change over time. Monitoring is a process that assesses the quality of internal controls continue to meet the needs of the organization. The following are two principles related to monitoring activities:
a) The organization selects, develops, and performs ongoing or separate evaluations (or both) to determine whether the components of internal control are present and functioning.
b) The organization evaluates and communicates control deficiencies in timely manner.
