3. Results
The three analyzed species had a common chromosome number equal to 48 and there
were no chromosome differences between sexes among them. However, higher morphological
differences were detected among their karyotypes, characterized by an increased
number of chromosome arms (FN) in A. saxatilis (FN = 52), M. chrysurus (FN = 64) and A.
