Based on the consistent performances in laboratory
tests, four bacteria viz. PF-7, PF-9, 8-44 and Chb-I
were selected for in vivo studies as well as compatibility
test with carbendazim, an effective fungicide in
controlling sheath blight disease. Both visual
observations on growth as well as population count of
bacteria in fungicide amended medium revealed that
the bacteria were highly compatible with carbendazim.
