In recent years, various researchers have explored scheduling in
the construction domain. In general, this research focused on the benefits and applicability of 3D/4D models of construction processes,
i.e., on animation and simulation [1,2]. The 4D models help
to increase the understanding, coordination, and communication
of construction processes. The related linking of building components
and construction processes is inevitable and results in high
costs [3]. The accompanying effort can be made worthwhile by
the benefits of the 4D CAD when scheduling small-sized projects.
Further research has therefore explored the automatic linking between
the product and the process model.
