This research aims to study the options for further study in higher education at the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket campus, influenced by family status. That is education level of the parents and occupation of the parents is a factor towards decision-making to study at the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism. The samples used in this research is the students of the Faculty of hospitality and tourism by the selected number of 200 people, each branch 100 people. This research is qualitative research, using a questionnaire to collect data from a sample group, statistical analysis is used the test for independence or relationship between two variables or Chi-square. This research will use the information from the general information were analyzed in data analysis to explore the relationship between general information is occupation and educational level of parents.
The results showed that Family status is not a key factor influencing the choice of course study at Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket campus, sampling from the students of the Faculty of hospitality and tourism, year 1-4 students use 188 samples from the 200 people. The parents of most students are private business and most have a bachelor's degree, Occupation of the parents does not affect choice of course study at Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, of p-value = 0.081213, and educational level of parents does not affect choice of course study at Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, of p-value = 0.584242.
