The hull form shall be well suited for navigation in sheltered waters.
The hull to be constructed in such a way that the vessel may be dry-docked with the max. dead-weight on board.
Deckhouse to have straight line camber 20 mm/m.
Frame distance generally 600 mm throughout.
Main deck aft to be strengthened for 5.0 tonnes per sq. metres.
Stern and stern well rounded steel plates.
A suitable number of bilgewells to be fitted in the engine room, steering gear room.
Bigger tanks to have two manholes. Size of each manhole to be min 400 X 600 mm. No manholes to be arranged inside accommodation.
Emergency escapes to have opening min 600 X 600 mm in accordance with the rules and requirements.
Two chain lockers for the windlass will be provided.
Special care is to be taken to ensure that full longitudinal and transverse continuity of girders and bulkheads is maintained throughout the vessel as far as possible.
Main frames to be of angle bar or flat plate/web construction, and to be in accordance with classification requirements.
The hull of the vessel is to be well protected throughout the vessel by heavy rubber fendering. Fendering also to be installed at forecastle deck levels with diagonals down to main deck.
A double plate steel centerline skeg, reinforced for groundings, is to be fitted in center.
Bulwark on forecastle deck level will be approx. 1.0 m high and to be sloped inwards about 10 degrees. Bulwark at main deck to be sloped about. 7 degrees and placed 100 mm inside shell plating.
The Builder will mark the boundaries of each tank by means of short welding seams and state the number on the outside shell plating.
All free plate edges etc. to be prepared according to paint maker’s recommendation.
