Managerial theories as well as managerial practices consider the labour price as one of important kind of reward and a significant factor of motivation. When an employee is sure that his or her efforts lead to fair wages, he or she proves to be more effective. The belief of justice in rewarding increases the employee´s effort and ultimately their productivity. But if an individual feels that his/her efforts are not rewarded equally, he or she is apt to display less effort. Therefore, the problem of effort-reward commensurability becomes very important for the human resources to be utilized more effectively thereby achieving higher productivity.
