As seen from Fig. 3, the sample average value (390.983mm) is close to USL = 391mm not to 390mmwhich is target average value. Therefore, the average becomes closer to USL by shifting. The total value of PPM in the lower right confirms this. Accordingly, measurements are more than USL value with the probably of 50.45. Therefore K14 upper front measures should be taken into control limits as a process. Since the measurements exceed USL value, the bodies become wider and this causes the problems during door assembly (such as leakage problem). The standard deviation is 0.88 in this case. CPK value is quite below the target value (CPK > 1.33). Graphical results of K14 upper back measurement points are given in Fig. 4.
