As you are aware, the season of 2014 HR & Training Audit has started. This year the HR part and Training Part are done separately (The Training Audit is to be done in the same period of annual hub training). Referring to the latest schedule sent by K. Chunya earlier, the Training Audit is going to start with the Bangkok properties first (during the week from Monday, 9 June to Friday, 13 June).
In order to give you a clear picture of what you will be assessed on, I’ve attached the file of the Training Audit Checklist updated as of May 2014. In this updated version, I’ve added the following points of assessment in accordance with the frame of our current work. Please see the list below:
1. Item NO. 4 in the checklist – “Monthly Training Calendar” intended to assess you on “Training Roadmap Alignment” on how you map your training courses for your staff on a monthly basis, whether it reflects a coverage of different topics on the Roadmap instead of focusing on the same topics every month, whether you maintain record of how many skills/topics in the Roadmap have been completed by the staff.
2. Item NO. 16 in the checklist – “Lobster Ink E-learning” (in 2014 applicable to Centara Grand properties only). As you know, the Company has invested a significant amount of money on this training innovation. We therefore want to ensure that you maximise the greatest benefits out of it. So you will be assessed on how you map the E-learning plan and how you integrate it into your Monthly Training Calendar and whether the assessment is done upon completion.
3. Item NO. 17 in the checklist – “PDC: People Development Committee”. As you have been informed, this is another new practice among HR. As we have launched the SOP and model of PDC establishment, we would like to assess you whether you comply with the SOP and keep record of action points in PDC.
4. Item NO. 14 in the checklist – “3 Ms Booklet aka Training Passport”. This is the same topic as last year, but I just would like to remind you that in this part I will do a random interview of your staff and ask them about the utilization of the booklet.

The details on the criteria can be viewed in the attached PowerPoint file. You can refer to the criteria when you have a meeting and identify the nominee(s).
I also would like to suggest you to put this as one of the agenda items in the next PDC (People Development Committee) Meeting at your property. The agreement on the nomination can be reached in your PDC Meeting.
In the nomination, please provide us a summary of the following information about the nominee(s), which will be useful for the consideration and winner selection process:
1) Manager of the Year Award (In case that some items are not applicable or not outstanding, you can highlight the areas on which he or she stands out)
- Leadership Quality (e.g. refer to Employee Opinion Score, Feedback, Performance Evaluation, etc.)
- Guest service provider (e.g. he or she might have received some highly positive feedback from the guests, etc.)
- “People” Development (e.g. number of succession planning enrollments in his/her team, record of training in his/her team, his/her role as designated departmental trainer, etc.)
- Brand Standard Quality Compliance (e.g. can refer to the result of the audit, etc.)
- Other contribution(s) or distinguished performance that you’d like to mention about him/her
2) Special Contributions Award
- Leadership Quality
- Guest Service
- Be Ambassador for the Hotel/Company (e.g. major achievement(s) in any project or local community service or environmental activity or CSR activity, etc.)
